mizu

for omni remotes
product design | ui/ux design | group project
a series of product for the future - 5 years, the designs include a remote controller, over-the-top box and also a user interface for the television. with the use of a new and upcoming technology - li-fi in our products, we chose to use visual elements to enhance the user experience.

how might we...
enable a seamless connection between the user and the product

technology used

wireless charging

- also known as induction charging
- transferring energy via electromagnetic induction
- typically has to be in close proximity
- likely to become a standard part of smartphones in the near future

li-fi (light-fidelity technology)

- up to 100 times faster than wi-fi.
- uses light to transmit high-speed data instead of radio waves unlike wi-fi
- expected to take off in singapore over the next few years, with the government already taking an interest in it
- li-fi will most likely to complement wi-fi rather than replacing it
